The period of WikiLeak revelations covers five years of George W. Bush from January 2004 till December 2008 and one year of Barack Obama from January to December 2009. Looking back in rearview mirror, one sees that significant changes started to occur in American policy in Afghanistan after December 2009 and talk of reconciliation and negotiations with Taliban gained currency. Pakistan also began to figure out prominently and there was noticeable change of attitude of US officials. Karzai too started leaning towards Pakistan. Sudden change of direction of wind was not to the liking of India, Northern Alliance and Jewish lobby in USA since it ran counter to their designs against Pakistan.

Tuesday, New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission denied landmark status to the 150-year-old building located two blocks away from ground zero; local developers want to convert the building into an Islamic community center and mosque. The debate over the ground zero mosque has created quite a stir worldwide.

New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg supports the mosque, while Sarah Palin has made it clear she doesn’t and said that it “stabs the hearts” of Americans. Sarah Palin tweeted and asked «peaceful New Yorkers» to «pls refute the Ground Zero mosque plan if you believe catastrophic pain caused @ Twin Towers site is too raw, too real.»

Introduction

We are in the midst of the most explosive development in all of human history. Humanity is experiencing a simultaneously opposing and conflicting geopolitical transition, the likes of which has never before been anticipated or experienced. Historically, the story of humanity has been the struggle between the free-thinking individual and structures of power controlled by elites that seek to dominate land, resources and people. The greatest threat to elites at any time – historically and presently – is an awakened, critically thinking and politically stimulated populace. This threat has manifested itself throughout history, in different places and at different times. Ideas of freedom, democracy, civil and human rights, liberty and equality have emerged in reaction and opposition to power structures and elite systems of control.

The greatest triumphs of the human mind – whether in art, science or thought – have arisen out of and challenged great systems of power and control. The greatest of human misery and tragedy has arisen out of the power structures and systems that elites always seek to construct and manage. War, genocide, persecution and human degradation are directly the result of decisions made by those who control the apparatus of power, whether the power manifests itself as intellectual, ecclesiastical, spiritual, militaristic, or scientific. The most malevolent and ruthless power is that over the free human mind: if one controls how one thinks, they control the individual itself. The greatest human achievements are where individuals have broken free the shackles that bind the mind and let loose the inherent and undeniable power that lies in each and every individual on this small little planet.

Currently, our world is at the greatest crossroads our species has ever experienced. We are in the midst of the first truly global political awakening, in which for the first time in all of human history, all of mankind is politically awakened and stirring; in which whether inadvertently or intentionally, people are thinking and acting in political terms. This awakening is most evident in the developing world, having been made through personal experience to be acutely aware of the great disparities, disrespect, and domination inherent in global power structures. The awakening is spreading increasingly to the west itself, as the majority of the people living in the western developed nations are thrown into poverty and degradation. The awakening will be forced upon all people all over the world. Nothing, no development, ever in human history, has posed such a monumental threat to elite power structures.

This awakening is largely driven by the Technological Revolution, which through technology and electronics, in particular mass media and the internet, have made it so that people across the world are able to become aware of global issues and gain access to information from around the world. The Technological Revolution, thus, has fostered an Information Revolution which has, in turn, fed the global political awakening.

(CNN) — A surprise appearance by WikiLeaks.org founder Julian Assange at the TED Global conference in Oxford, England, has cast new light on the activities of the site and its mysterious leader.

Assange’s site, which released video of a U.S. air strike in Iraq that killed a dozen civilians, claims to have revealed more classified intelligence documents than the rest of the world’s media combined.

Explaining during his appearance Friday why WikiLeaks has been keeping a lower profile since releasing the video, Assange said it was working on raising funds and strengthening its technical infrastructure to handle more traffic while accumulating «an enormous quantity of whistle-blower disclosures.»

Big Brother Shuts down 73,000 Blogs in U.S.

«nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.» (Amendment #5 of the US Constitution)

The US Constitution is supposed to be the highest law of the land. Blogs are considered personal property, and personal property cannot be taken under the Constitution without due process of law. This does not mean a judicial order. This does not mean «except when the government grows weary of public dissent to its criminal policies». This means that property rights are held sacred by the highest law of our land. Due process means the right to be heard in front of a jury of your peers, in a very public trial.

Which is why this latest «jack-booted thug-like» action is intolerable and grounds for the biggest public outcry in our Nations History.

First of all, despite clamping down on immigration, our population grew by 2.6M people last year.  Unfortunately, not only did we not create jobs for those 2.6M new people but we lost about 4M jobs so what are these new people going to do?  Not only that, but nobody is talking about the another major job issue: People aren’t retiring!  They can’t afford to because the economy is bad – that means there are even less job openings…   The pimply-faced kid can’t get a job delivering pizza because his grandpa’s doing it.

US to set up secret ‘Big Brother’ surveillance system to monitor internet for cyber-attacks

The US plans to install a Big Brother-style monitoring system on the computer systems of private companies and government agencies to prevent cyber-attacks from abroad.

The program, named Perfect Citizen, will rely on sensors that will be deployed in networks running critical infrastructure such as the electricity grid and nuclear-power plants.

It will be able to detect any attempt by foreign saboteurs to launch a cyber-attack .

But privacy campaigners have reacted furiously, saying that ‘mission creep’ will make it easy for security forces to effectively spy on normal citizens.

46 US Warships Plus 7,000 US Marines On Route To Costa Rica?

On the 2nd July 2010 the Costa Rica Congress authorized the entry of 46 U.S. warships capable of carrying 200 helicopters and warplanes, plus 7,000 U.S. Marines «who may circulate the country in uniform without any restrictions» , plus submarine killer ships to the Costa Rican coast for «anti-narcotics operations and humanitarian missions’ between 1st July 2010 until 31st December 2010.

With this kind of nation destroying firepower, it gives real meaning to the expression «war on drugs», but if this a real six month «war on drugs» we should expect to see some fantastic results, right?

Politicians representing the Acción Ciudadana (PAC), the Unidad Social Cristiana (PUSC) and the Frente Amplio (FA) political parties opposed the measure saying that the destructive force of the ships, helicopters and 7,000 US Marines is «disproportionate for the fight against drug trafficking.»
